Preparing The Concrete Flooring Base For Hoist Installations 1

If the concrete floor does not meet the required specifications, comply with WorkSafe. i.e thickness of the concrete and MPA (Mega Pascall) strength of the concrete.

The following should be undertaken

A) The two points where the posts will be positioned must be strengthened, the concrete needs to be cut and a new base poured, normally 1m by 1m by

a minimum 600mm in-depth, the top of this new pad must be flat and level with the rest of the workshop floor.

B) A minimum of 7-8 days should be allowed for the concrete to cure.

Note: The absolute minimum concrete thickness must be 100mm but most preferably 150MM and of approximately 25MPA
We the Team at Classic Lift Australia always discuss these very important factors with the customers and we advise accordingly
